We have just received the sad news that Jim Mundell, a member since 1947, passed away on the 5th February.
In 1948 Jim was the Junior Champion. The following year he set the club 10m record with 25:43 and two club tandem records with Frank Walsh – 30m in 1:6:24 & 50m in 1:52:53. In 1950 he won the Roy Mills Trophy for the member gaining the most club run points.
Our sympathies go to his family.
Peter Johnson a member since 1950 has died recently.
Frank Walsh passed away on the 7th January 2013 after a short illness.
He joined the club in 1948.
The Funeral was on Friday 18th Jan at St Annes RC Church, Ashton Old Road, Fairfield, Manchester.

Harry Moore sadly passed away on the 13th June.
Harry was an ex. President of the Chesh having joined the Club in 1976
He will be missed by all who knew him.
The Funeral service and committal were held at Manchester Crematorium on Thursday 21st June. The Chesh were well represented.
Donations can be made to MacMillan or The Prostate Cancer Charity.
We received the sad news today that Bill Hollingsworth passed away at home on the 5th December. He would have been 88 in January.
Bill was a life member of the ‘Chesh’ and, until 2 days before his death, ran Meadows cycle shop in Cheadle. (As he had done for over 50 years!)
He was the club’s clubroom steward and, as well as opening up the Drill Hall and setting out the tables and chairs, brewed up for the committee every month.
He will be remembered by many outside the club for collecting pound coins from riders prior to the club 10s, 25s and hill climbs which we held for many years.
Our sincere condolences go to his wife, Kathleen, and family.
Bills funeral was at the Southern Cemetery on Friday 23rd December. Several committee members represented the club.
Walter Boothroyd has died recently.
His funeral took place on Tuesday 22nd November at Stockport.
Walter joined the club in 1947 winning the handicap competition in the same year.
The club sends its deepest sympathy to his wife, Kathleen.
